About Bali Hai Bali Hai is an original 1950's holiday unit complex. Eventually it will make way for a new pet-friendly boutique apartment block to be built on the site in the future but in the mean time, it is clean, comfortable and very pet-friendly. It has all the modern conveniences of any other holiday home, but the simplicity of the way holidays use to be in the 1950's. Imagine if the walls could talk! Walk just 200m to a dog friendly (leashed beach) with leash free dog beaches and dog parks just a short drive away. Bali Hai consists of 3 fully air-conditioned units-all pet friendly. 2 x one bedroom units downstairs and 1 x 3 bedroom unit taking up the whole top story. Inside, this beach shack has polished timber floor boards featured throughout making it very pet friendly. Each unit has its own private bathroom facilities and a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances incl microwave. Adding to your comfort in summer or winter, the units are have reverse cycle air-conditioning. Each unit has its own TV and DVD player. Outside, each unit has its own seperate fully fenced yard for the furry membersof the family. Each unit has its own BBQ and Patio area. There is a secure lock-up garage at the rear of the property. Full Laundry facilities are availlable including dryer. Bali Hai truly is a home away from home! About Bilinga (North Kirra)....... Alot of locals don't even know where 'Bilinga' is so we call it North Kirra. Bilinga is a tiny suburb that sits between Tugun and Kirra on the Southern end of the Gold Coast. Its about a 20minute walk to Kirra and Coolangatta to enjoy some of the Gold Coast best dining and entertainment, or a 5 minute walk to the Kirra Surf Club for a cold beer on a hot day. Bilinga is still somewhat undeveloped compared to the rest of the Gold Coast so the beaches are still quite and uncrowded. If you time it right, you can often snag the beach all to yourself! There are walking and bike tracks stretching for kilometres,and if you're a keen cyclist, you can ride all the way to Surfers Paradise and beyond without hardly hitting the road. There is a bus stop virtually at the front door which will take you in either direction to Kirra, Coolangatta or Tugun. It will also take you to Movie World, Dreamworld and Wet and Wild which are 30-40 minutes drive. For those who are a little nocturnal, the famous Twin Towns Club is just 5 mins drive or by the complimentary Town Towns bus, picking you up at the front door where you can enjoy the never ending choice of live music, poker machines and award winning restaurants. Surfers Paradise is just 30 mins drive away so close enough to the action without being right in the middle of it. To get away from it all, Mt Warning National Park is 30 mins drive for those who enjoy bush walking and mountain climbing. You could also head to Byron Bay which is just a 40 minute drive south. If you stay with us at the right time of year, you might be lucky enough to spot a whale off Bilinga Beach making its annual migration. Past guests have found Virgin Blue very accomodating and inexpensive when travelling with your pet. If you are Driving, Bali Hai is easily accessable from the Pacific Highway. Just follow the signs to the Gold Coast Airport or Tugun.
